In one life time, we move through many "pachas," i.e. the pacha of childhood, the pacha of young adulthood, adulthood, eldership, etc.

"Pacha" is a Qetchuah word meaning an "increment of time." It is taught in the Andean Traditions that we live through many Pachas in one lifetime. Pachas are also presented as different aspects of our selves shifting. We feel we are in a new time when our jobs change, or our relationships begin or end.

And this is viewed as a new time in our life.
